Contest rules and regulations:teenidol1.jpg

  1. The creative contests are open only to students in high schools competing in the Use It or Lose It High School Seat Belt Challenge.  Click here for a list of participating schools
  2. Each entry must be accompanied by a completed, signed or online entry form.
  3. All entries must reference seat belt use; they also can address other safe driving issues for teens, like speeding, risky driving, or distracted driving.
  4. All entries must be free of obscene language and drug or gang references.
  5. All participants must use an adult representative as a contact.
  6. Song lyrics must be original.  The music you choose determines the amount of exposure you’ll get if you win.  Because of copyright issues, using melodies from existing music means your song cannot be posted online (you’ll still get to perform on stage).  If your melodies are original, the winning song will be posted on the Use It or Lose It website and the 96.5 KISS FM website.
  7. Song and video entries must include a copy of written lyrics/scripts.
  8. Song entries must be no more than 2 minutes in length and submitted on cassette or compact disc, or uploaded as an mpeg file.
  9. Videos must be no more than 60 seconds in length and submitted on DVD or VHS, or uploaded as an MPEG or WMV file.
  10. Artwork should be 11″ x 17″ in size.  Any medium is acceptable.
  11. Entries can come from individuals or from groups of students working together.
  12. All submissions become property of Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital.

Submissions must be received by Monday, May 11, 2009.
